Pablo Sabbatella Elected to the Arbitrum Security Council

We're proud to share that Opsek's founder, Pablo Sabbatella, has been elected to the Arbitrum Security Council. Pablo is one of the six members chosen by the Arbitrum DAO community in the March 2026 election.

The Security Council is a 12-member body elected by the Arbitrum DAO, responsible for managing risk across the Arbitrum ecosystem. In practice, that means making time-sensitive decisions to protect the network: from emergency responses to critical protocol vulnerabilities, to non-emergency actions that safeguard the DAO's long-term integrity. It's one of the most consequential roles in Arbitrum governance, and one that demands both deep expertise and the trust of the community.

Elections occur every 6 months, alternating between cohorts, and members are elected through a competitive, community-driven process, making this a meaningful signal of trust from one of the largest ecosystems in crypto.

For Pablo, this isn't a new role, but an extension of work he's been doing for years. As a SEAL member, active signer in multiple protocol security councils, and founder of Opsek, his focus has always been on keeping Web3 teams and infrastructure safe from the threats that actually take people down.

This is what operational security leadership looks like in practice: showing up where it matters, earning the trust of the community, and taking on real responsibility for the ecosystem's resilience.

Congratulations, Pablo.
